From there, you will be directed to meet your instructor outside of the lodge, on-snow in the group lesson meeting area — the Beginner Package zone will be designated by a sign.

Oregon Trail of Dreams is owned and operated by Rachael Scdoris, her husband Nick and her father, Jerry Scdoris. Rachael is a world-renowned athlete and had her first Iditarod finish in 2006. Activity 4: Snowmobiling on Mt. Bachelor
Our customized snowmobile trips led by our professional guides, are definitely something to write home about. Our trips are NOT a 10 mile an hour trail ride (unless that’s what you are after). We limit our tours to six machines per guide to give you a custom ride. Our small groups allow for us to customize the trip just for your group. We stop at several snow play areas for you to experience all the freedom and exhilaration you can handle. Don’t waste your time trying to read the map to figure out where you are or where you want to go. We find that our tour machines come back to base camp with two to three times the miles than rental machines. Let our guides take you to all the SWEET SPOTS for the best views and play areas. More than six machines in your group? No problem, we’ll just put another guide with you. You can choose to stay together or split off according to different riding abilities and meet up at the various play areas.
Our two hour trips are perfect for those new to snowmobiling or for groups with young children. We will customize the trip to your ability and pace. This exhilarating ride takes you through the scenic Cascade Mountain Range around Mt. Bachelor. This two hour trip will thrill both the experienced and novice rider and is great for families and groups of any size.

Activity 5: Night Snowshoeing with Bonfire on Mt. Bachelor
Adventure: Wanderlust Tours invented this one of a kind snowshoe tour under the light of our solar system’s twinkling lights. Cruising on snowshoes, our destination is a hand-carved amphitheater in the snow where a crackling bonfire awaits. Join us for a magical meander through the powdery snow-filled forest at night in the Cascade Mountains west of Bend, Oregon.
Naturalist Guided Experience: Kicking through the snow-laden forest after the fall of darkness, our nose will, in part, lead us to a Michaelangelo-esque creation- an amazing snow built amphitheater. When the whiff of pine hits our nostrils anticipation will grow for a taste of delectable desserts and hazelnut espresso vodka-laced hot cocoa. Our naturalist guides will point out planets, stars and constellations as we relax in the glow of the fire. The hushed ambience of the forest will stir your soul. The magic of this wholly unique experience will remain instilled within you forever!
Location: Snowshoeing tours take place in the areas around Mt. Bachelor and the surrounding Deschutes National Forest of the Cascade Mountain Range of Oregon. New to off-trail snowshoeing? Let Wanderlust Tours do the driving and teach you fun snowshoeing techniques and tricks. All tours include instruction. Wear winter boots and powder/ski pants to keep your feet and legs dry while snowshoeing.
